Veterans' Clothing & Food Assistance

Why Veterans' Clothing and Food Assistance Matters

As veterans return to civilian life, they may face financial challenges and uncertainties. Access to basic necessities like clothing and food can be a significant concern. Our goal is to alleviate this burden and ensure that our veterans and their families have the support they need to thrive.

Veterans Clothing and Food Assistance

At A Way Home VA, we offer a range of clothing and food assistance services for veterans:

  • Clothing Assistance: Our clothing assistance program provides veterans and their families with essential garments, including seasonal clothing, work attire, and cold-weather items.
  • Food Pantry: Our food pantry is stocked with nutritious and non-perishable items to help veterans maintain a balanced diet and reduce the financial burden of grocery expenses.
  • Community Meals: We host regular community meals, allowing veterans to come together, share a meal, and build connections with their peers.
  • Emergency Assistance: We offer emergency food and clothing support to veterans facing immediate needs.
  • Referral Services: We connect veterans with additional resources and services, such as housing support and job assistance.

At A Way Home VA, we have designed our programs with the utmost care and respect for veterans. Our approach is centered on the following principles:

Dignity and Respect:
We treat our veterans with the respect and gratitude they deserve, providing them with the essentials they need without judgment or bias.

Accessibility
We offer a safe and welcoming space where veterans can access clothing and food support discreetly and without embarrassment.

Community Support
We believe in the power of community. Our programs encourage veterans to connect with others who have shared experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

Quality and Variety
We provide high-quality clothing and nutritious food options to ensure veterans receive the best support possible.

Sustainability
We are committed to long-term assistance, helping veterans regain their independence and stability.

Clothing

Clothing and shoe donations are organized on racks to be distributed to individuals in need. (If you have wearables that you are no longer using that are in “gently used” condition, please consider donating them to help those hurting)

Food & Meals

Delicious hot meals are served each month to the hungry in our region. Breakfast and lunch are served daily. Dinner is served Monday through Friday. On weekends, additional meals are provided by food donations made by churches and other partnering organizations. Our goal is to serve three meals daily, seven days a week.
